Newborn sessions at Bay Laurel Photography are baby-led and focused on capturing your little one in a natural, timeless way. Each session takes place in my soft, light-filled studio where everything is designed with your baby’s safety and comfort in mind. I follow your baby’s cues for a calm experience, allowing time for feeding, soothing, and gentle posing. All wraps, blankets, and props are provided, and every detail is handled with care-safety always comes first. Parents can relax knowing their newborn is in experienced, gentle hands. Sessions include a private online gallery with high-resolution downloads and print release. It’s best to reserve your newborn session during your second or early third trimester to ensure availability around your due date. Sessions are typically held within the first two weeks after birth, when babies are sleepiest and most flexible, but I’ll always adjust timing to keep things relaxed and baby-led.

Session Details✨


A $50 non-refundable retainer is required to reserve your session date, with the remaining balance due the day of your session. If weather or illness requires rescheduling, your retainer will transfer to a new agreed-upon date.


Your gallery will be delivered within two weeks and includes fully edited, high-resolution digital images for download. Each session includes assistance with outfit coordination and styling suggestions at your request to ensure your photos feel timeless and beautifully cohesive. I sometimes post a few sneak peeks on social media, but please let me know if you prefer to keep your images private. Professional-quality prints, wall art, and albums are also available for purchase through your online gallery.

When booking your newborn session: Please schedule your session date as close to your due date as possible. Once your baby arrives, we'll adjust your session date and time to fit within the ideal window for newborn photos (typically within the first two weeks after birth).
